Mr. Toru Nakamura is Deputy Director at the Highway Industry Development Organization (HIDO) in Japan, where he has worked since January 2003. His work focuses on research into international ITS standards, the development of electronic toll collection (ETC) for motorcycles and the investigation of ETC technologies in countries around the world. In recent years, he has also researched technology trends in V2X communication and automated vehicles. Toru is a member of the ETC International Standardisation Committee (ISO TC204 WG5), contributing to the development of global standards for electronic fee collection.
