Senator the Hon. Bridget McKenzie is the shadow minister for infrastructure, transport and regional development in Australia. Senator McKenzie is a former cabinet minister and was Australia’s first federal female agriculture minister. She has held several portfolios including emergency management, national recovery and resilience, sport, regional communications, regional education, and regional health. Bridget was elected in 2010 to the Australian Federal Parliament as senator for the state of Victoria. She has been the leader of her party, The Nationals, in the Australian Senate since 2019 and was the party’s deputy leader from 2017 to 2020.
