Lieutenant colonel Dr Tongkarn Kaewchalermtong is a lecturer at the civil engineering department of Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy and holds multiple prominent positions within the fields of intelligent transport systems. He serves as chairman of the Transportation and Logistics Working Group for the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations and holds the role of vice president at ITS Thailand. Dr Kaewchalermtong is actively involved in international committees such as the ITS World Congress's International Program Committee and the ITS Asia-Pacific Forum's International Academic Committee. He has previously consulted for the transport division of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
