Luka Babnik is an Electronic Tolling Systems (ETS) specialist at DARS d.d., Slovenia, where he serves as Head of Service in the Tolling Department for Technological Development and Operational Maintenance. He holds a master's degree in Information Management Sciences from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana.

Over the past eight years, Luka has built deep expertise in electronic tolling systems. He was a project member for the 2021 implementation of Slovenia's e-vignette system for light vehicles, and went on to lead the 2024 project integrating EETS interoperability into the DarsGo system. Most recently, in 2025, he served as project manager for the upgrade of DarsGo to support CO2-based charging.

Beyond tolling, Luka brings more than 15 years of broader experience in IT and business, including project management.
